🎄Last night, Officer Molly and her sister participated in 𝗟𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝗢𝗵𝗶𝗼 𝗕𝗹𝘂𝗲’𝘀 𝗢𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗦𝗮𝗻𝘁𝗮’𝘀 𝗦𝗹𝗲𝗶𝗴𝗵 driving past @cincychildrens Hospital with our cruiser lights on alongside hundreds of other first responder vehicles from across the Greater Cincinnati area.
💙🚨This annual event is part of a statewide holiday tradition in which law enforcement and other first responders light up the night to show support for children and families spending the holidays in the hospital, a visible reminder that they are not alone this season. We were honored to be part of this procession and grateful to all the agencies that came together to support such a meaningful cause.

You’ve probably seen the AI holiday trend popping up across social media.
Our Little Miami School Resource Officers had a little fun with it!
But the real story is the positive impact they have inside our schools every day.
We’re proud of this team. 💚🐾

Our hearts are broken.
Last night, Officer 𝐌𝐞𝐠𝐚𝐧 𝐆𝐫𝐚𝐡𝐚𝐦 passed away at just 31 years old after a long and courageous battle with cancer, a journey she bravely shared with all of us for more than a year. Megan joined our agency in October 2022 and immediately made an impact. She was a talented and dedicated officer, a committed public servant, and a young professional with an incredibly bright future ahead of her. She excelled in everything she took on and approached every assignment with professionalism, courage, and heart. She was recently married and building a life full of love, plans, and promise. What we will remember most about Megan is her courage.

The grace, determination, and optimism she showed throughout her battle inspired everyone around her, our officers, our staff, and the many people in this community who supported and encouraged her along the way.As we grieve this loss, we know many of you will grieve with us. Please keep Megan’s family and loved ones in your thoughts and prayers during this incredibly difficult time.We will share additional details when they are confirmed.Tonight, and in the days ahead, we honor Megan: her service, her spirit, and the lasting impact she made on all of us.Moments like this remind us how precious life is and how important it is to hold close the people who matter.

🚨 Training That Matters.
Leadership That Lasts.
This week, two department members traveled to Nashville, Tennessee, to take part in advanced training, and each course reflects our commitment to growing strong, capable, and prepared leaders.
👮♀️Sgt. Brittany Huelsman attended the 2025 Women in Law Enforcement Conference: Breaking Barriers – Women Leading the Way, hosted by the Tennessee Highway Patrol. The event brought together nearly 500 law enforcement professionals nationwide to focus on leadership, wellness, and professional growth. As our only female supervisor in a traditionally male-dominated profession, Sgt. Huelsman continues to break
🕵️♂️Detective Shawn Parks attended Conducting Unexplained Child Death Investigations, a specialized course funded by a grant through the U.S. Department of Justice’s Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention. This intensive training prepares detectives to thoroughly and compassionately handle the most difficult investigations involving children.
While we hope to never need this knowledge, we believe in being prepared because when families are in crisis, our detectives must be ready to respond with skill, care, and professionalism. At HTPD, we don’t just check boxes—we invest in our people, because our residents deserve the best-trained, most well-rounded officers possible

Zach 1 – Officer Burkitt 0
⚾️While on patrol and enjoying the beautiful weather today, Officer Burkitt noticed a few kids playing outside and asked if they liked sports. Before long, he found himself in a baseball game with the neighborhood crew. Gloves were out, laughs were shared… and yes, young Zach struck him out. 💪Officer Burkitt took it in stride and told Zach, “I’m working this weekend—I want a rematch.”What may seem like a small moment to some became a significant memory for those kids. Their dad said it made their day—and it was all they could talk about when he returned home from work.Well done, Officer Burkitt—you brought the heat, even if Zach brought the bat 😄

Today, we had the honor of joining several law enforcement agencies in a special birthday parade for a brave young man battling leukemia.Surrounded by flashing lights, sirens, and smiles, we helped celebrate a 6th birthday in a big way—reminding him that he’s got a whole community standing behind him. His courage and strength inspire us all.Thank you to everyone who made this day so meaningful, and to have Officer Graham ride along was amazing. Happy Birthday, buddy! Stay strong—we’re all cheering for you!

Heroic Act Recognized at Little Miami Primary School
On Monday, March 3rd, during the final lunch period at Little Miami Local Schools Primary School, custodian Denise Day embodied the courage and kindness every parent hopes their child is surrounded by at school. When a student began choking on a silver dollar-sized piece of bread, her classmates immediately recognized the emergency and quickly sought help.
Denise rushed over and administered the Heimlich maneuver. On the second thrust, the obstruction was dislodged, and the student could breathe again. After ensuring the student was safe, Denise returned to work, never expecting recognition for her actions.
Denise's quick thinking, calm under pressure, and dedication to the students' well-being are testaments to the unsung heroes working in our schools daily. This moment is also a powerful reminder of the importance of teamwork—from the students who sought help to Denise, who responded without hesitation.
Let's take a moment to celebrate and thank Denise Day!
School Resource Officer Andrew Hayslip proudly presented Denise with the"You've Been Caught Doing a Good Deed" award. This award is part of the National Association of School Resource Officers (NASRO) program, which honors those outstanding individuals who go above and beyond to make a positive difference in their schools.

Standing with Officer Megan Graham
Officer Megan Graham has dedicated the past nine years to serving and protecting. She began her law enforcement career with the Springboro Ohio Police Department, serving six years before joining the Hamilton Township Police Department in 2022.
In January 2024, Megan began experiencing chronic abdominal pain. After months of doctor visits, referrals, MRIs, and CT scans, she received the devastating diagnosis of Stage 4B cervical cancer. Within the last two months, the cancer has spread, but Megan refuses to let this define her. She is a fighter , tackling this battle with the same strength and determination she brings to her job every day. She is undergoing aggressive treatment, including chemotherapy, with one goal in mind: to beat this and return to serving the community she loves.
A Symbol of Support
#FightLikeMegan
Today, Megan personally affixed ribbons to several of our police cruisers—a powerful reminder of her strength and determination. These custom ribbons will be displayed on all Hamilton Township cruisers as a symbol of unity, support, and encouragement for Megan as she fights this battle. Every time our officers hit the streets, these ribbons will stand as a tribute to her resilience and the community standing behind her.
A GoFundMe has been established to assist Megan with medical expenses and other financial burdens. Please consider donating and sharing to support her in this fight: Donate Here: https://gofund.me/eb4d8ae2
Let’s rally around Megan and show her the same strength and support she has always shown us.
(A special thank you to Vivid WRAPS for generously donating the ribbons at no cost. Your support means so much!)
